My name is Tim Hall, I’m a former Montreal journalist who moved to the Dominican Republic in 1983 and produced several local newspapers and television programs. We now own and operate Tubagua Ecolodge located in the mountains near Puerto Plata. I am president of the Community Tourism Network, a province-wide federation of non-profit groups that have developed tourism attractions that provide jobs and put profits back into the community. As Canada’s Honorary Consul in Puerto Plata I have represented Canadian interests on the Dominican Republic’s north coast since 1990.
